• Exercises-based on the Monart School Method
• Teaching shape recognition and the foundation of drawing
• Students then progress into instruction on technique along with the elements of art and design
• We stimulate each artist’s growth and development through visual art in a non-judgmental studio environment

Class Structure/Curriculum

• Begin with open-ended art activities for younger artists then progress into art study in older classes
• Explore art media and techniques of master artists as well as diverse styles found in art from around the world
• Include a wide variety of fine art media including but not limited to acrylic paint, canvases, pastels and clay

Instructor Requirements

Backround in fine art as well as in teaching
Approach the education of each student based on the needs, interest and skill level of each individual

Art Start Studio Provides:

Education based art instruction founded on academic and scientific studies.

Technique, Fine art media/The “true” creative process experience, Exposure to art history and other cultures

A “coloring in between the lines” mentality
The 3 C’s-(crafts, crayons and construction paper
