TODDLER—(MOM AND ME) CLASSES These students participate with an adult and enjoy 5-7 open-ended art activities involving different art media each class. These classes develop language and non-verbal skills. Young children become creative by what they explore and attempt—NOT by what they produce.

Regular classes are 11 am to noon on the following Saturdays:
11-14, 1-23, 2-20, 3-6, 4-17

3-5 YEAR OLD CLASS
These students participate in a Main “Hands-on” Art History or multicultural art project each class. Students also participate in drawing exercises based on the Monart Method, as well as secondary art activities not mentioned,, and depending on remaining class time. DATES and TIMES CLASSES OFFERED

$30.00 per class The importance of art education applies to older artists as well as younger.
These students experience the same curriculum, however each class is presented according to the development and skill of each individual in that respective class. . Each child is given the individual attention and instruction they need. H.S. ART EXHIBIT PREPARATION CLASS– BY APPOINTMENT **All high school students enrolling in the H.S. art exhibit preparation class - must be at intermediate level or higher. These classes will prepare an entry piece for the KCC HS Show.

Classes are held Tuesdays from 9-9:45 am
Enrollment fees for this session are $136.00
These classes are conducted with one instructor and one assistant
There is a minimum of 4 students and maximum of 5 in a KVMS Toddler Class
These classes offer 5-7 opened art activities involving different art media each class. These classes help develop language and non-verbal skills as well as motor skills. Young Children become creative by what they explore and attempt- NOT by what they produce.
Some examples of these art activities are:
Jello Painting, Salad Spinnner Art, Squish Art and much more!
All art is displayed at the school following class and returned the next week.

All students enrolled in the studio have one piece exhibited in the Gretchen Charlton Youth Art Exhibit in the Spring each year.

What is offered for toddler classes:
Simple “open- ended” art activities are what they experience, such as:
Painting with a salad spinner, egg beaters, Jell-O
nWorking with clay and different clay tools
nPrintmaking with anything and everything - from natural materials to things found around the house
nColor mixing with squirt bottles
nVarious collage activities
n5 to 7 open ended art activities are introduced . Activities are never repeated in a year.
nThese activities are set up around the studio for the child to create and discover as they wish
Art work is displayed following each week's class and sent home the following week~
